Solids pose particular challenges because how the materials move depends upon a variety of factors such as particulate shape, size and size distribution, and cohesiveness. This panel discussion will explore how to achieve problem-free handling of solids.
Dirk has more than 25 years experience as an engineer, recently completing contract assignments as a senior process engineer for International Steel Services, Inc. in Pittsburgh, Penn., and as a project engineer for Earth Tech in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an engineer, he has developed several training manuals and written SOPs, contracts and proposals.
Dirk started out his engineering career in the Air Force and has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
Tigerflex Product Specialist
Timothy O’Neill has served as Tigerflex Product Specialist for Kuriyama of America since 2007, and has over thirteen years of product management experience. He plans, organizes and controls all aspects of Tigerflex industrial hoses from conceptual stage through product life cycle, including coordination of technical product development. Tim was instrumental in development of the Tigerflex Voltbuster Material Handling Hose which was awarded a 2013 Vaaler award by Chemical Processing Magazine for excellence in powder and solids handling. Tim has a Marketing degree from Pacific Lutheran University and is currently pursuing a baccalaureate in Mechanical Engineering.
